Notice from Dept. of Taxation RE: Required Traffic Camera Reports

The Ohio Department of Taxation sent out the following notice on June 26 to local government associations:

You likely are aware of the provision in HB 62, the state transportation budget, that requires local authorities (all municipalities, counties and townships) that operate “traffic enforcement cameras” to report their revenue to the Ohio Department of Taxation at the end of each fiscal year. With the intent of ensuring that all interested/affected parties are aware of this requirement, we’ve prepared the below informational notice that we hope you will distribute to your respective members.

Please be aware that this notice includes a link to a fill-in form the Department has prepared, which local governments can use to report the required information.  This form is also available at tax.ohio.gov. As a reminder, reports for fiscal year 2019 must be filed by July 31, 2019.

Thank you for your assistance and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
