CoreLogic Request
Lisa Spiess, Henry County
I just received a phone call from a Cindy Stevens stating she is with Corelogic and they would like me to provide them a file that shows ALL our parcels in Henry County with the gross tax amounts, credits, etc. When I questioned why they were requesting this, she said that they offer a lot of services and they are just trying to gather information. I told her that this is all information that is available on our website already, which we constantly get phone calls from their facility to verify the information that they appear to be looking at on the screen anyways, and that I am not sure what type of file I could provide and that if I could it would be a rather large file. She is going to email me with a request but I just found the whole thing strange. Has anyone else received this request? If so, what are you doing about this? I am not comfortable with it but I am new so I am not sure legally where I stand. Please let me know. I will be talking with my prosecutor as well. Thank you!

Hi Lisa. Not sure what Corelogic is looking for but they recently contacted me about using Autoagent. I am just signing up with Autoagent and Corelogic is trying to talk me out of it. They are apparently trying to set up their own system to avoid working with and paying Autoagent for their service. Don't know if you use Autoagent there but most of the 88 counties in Ohio do.
Might be related to that?

Hi Lisa, Not sure this is the same thing but I send electronic files to Corelogic from our MVP software. I create a "Full file" and send them. This is usually about the time I send out bills and a delinquent list of their non-escrow customers in the fall.

Hi Lisa. Prior to us signing with Autoagent, I would have our software vendor send a full file to CoreLogic whenever they requested one. After we signed with Autoagent (about a year ago), we stopped getting these requests from CoreLogic. From a legal standpoint and the Open Records laws, I feel you probably need to provide this information. However, I am not providing legal advice!

Lisa,
We provide a flat file with only public tax information to Corelogic for use in bulk tax payments. They service a large portion of our mortgage escrows.
